Recycling bins

Within the broad Waste and recycling department, recycling bins are one of the core product categories. Recycling bins are ready-made solutions for separate collection: 2, 3, 4 and 5-compartment bins that allow paper, glass, plastic, metal and mixed waste to be collected simultaneously in one place. We offer indoor versions (for offices, schools and public authorities) and weather-resistant outdoor versions, as well as recycling bin sets for larger public spaces.

This solution is particularly valued by managers of public buildings, as well as schools and nurseries, where both functionality and the educational value of correct sorting matter. See also our waste containers to complement the system.

The material varies depending on the intended use: stainless steel and painted sheet steel dominate in prestige versions, while plastic is often a cheaper choice for back-of-house areas and spaces with lower footfall. Outdoor models also require protection against moisture and UV radiation so that the waste stream colours do not fade after a few seasons in the sun.

The number of compartments is a decision best based on the actual volume of each waste stream in a given organisation rather than on a preset standard. An office generating mainly paper and mixed waste rarely needs a full set of five compartments, whereas a canteen or staff kitchen uses a dedicated bio-waste compartment far more intensively.

The colour coding of recycling bins in Poland is largely standardised, which helps users correctly identify the purpose of each compartment wherever they are: yellow for plastic and metal, blue for paper, green for glass, brown for bio-waste, and black or grey for mixed waste. Adhering to this standard at every location also makes it easier to train new employees or pupils.

The educational aspect can be as important as functionality itself. Clear labels, pictograms and a uniform appearance of bins throughout the building teach good habits, especially in educational establishments, where recycling forms part of the curriculum rather than merely a legal obligation.

When ordering recycling bins for a larger facility, it is advisable to set a uniform standard for the entire building or site. Mixing different manufacturers and labelling systems within one organisation makes it harder for users to find their way and weakens the educational effect of consistent, repeated solutions visible on every floor or in every wing of the building.
