Playgrounds covers a complete range of play equipment for children: swings, slides, roundabouts, sandpits, playhouses, climbing walls, obstacle courses and outdoor fitness areas (outdoor gyms). We design all equipment with safety and compliance with playground standards in mind, choosing solutions suited to each age group.

We supply local authorities, nurseries, schools, developers and housing estate managers, from single items of equipment to the complete fit-out of an entire playground, including fencing and educational elements. We can advise on choosing a set that suits the available space and budget.

Today, play equipment is most often made from glued laminated timber, powder-coated galvanised steel or HPL laminate, which is highly resistant to moisture and UV radiation. Glulam weathers attractively and gives a warm, natural look, but it needs periodic impregnation, especially in very sunny spots. Galvanised steel is the right choice where long-term low maintenance and resistance to vandalism matter. Colourful, scratch-resistant HPL panels are increasingly replacing traditional plywood on slides and climbing walls.

When planning a playground, it is worth separating areas for different age groups. Equipment for children under three should have low platforms and gentle slopes, while older children want more challenge, such as taller climbing walls or larger obstacle courses. A well-planned space combines quiet, active and social areas, so that siblings of different ages can play side by side rather than in separate areas far apart.

Impact-absorbing safety surfacing is essential to any safe playground. Rubber mats, washed gravel or sand are chosen according to the free-fall height of each piece of equipment and the project budget. Safety zones around swings and slides must have enough obstacle-free space, and metal and timber components need regular technical inspections, which reduce the risk of accidents and extend the life of the equipment.

Our own team carries out installation, setting the structures in the ground in line with the manufacturer's documentation, and after handover we offer periodic inspections. In many municipalities, an annual inspection is a formal requirement for playgrounds funded from public money. It covers replacing worn parts, tightening fixings and topping up safety surfacing where it has worn away.

More and more clients are asking about timber from certified, sustainable sources and about whether plastic parts can be recovered once the equipment reaches the end of its life. This trend is especially clear in public tenders, where environmental criteria are becoming as important as price. The right material choice affects not only appearance but also the environmental footprint of the whole project.
