Educational boards

Educational boards support correct waste segregation by explaining clearly and visually how waste is divided into individual fractions. They are an effective educational tool for residents, pupils and employees.

They are widely used by schools, nurseries and municipalities as part of educational campaigns on waste management.

A board placed directly next to a set of recycling bins improves sorting accuracy, as the information is available at the place and moment the user makes a decision. Versions are available for both indoor and outdoor use, the latter being weather-resistant. You will find educational boards in the accessories group, together with information stickers.

The effectiveness of an educational board depends largely on its legibility from a distance of several metres. Large, high-contrast graphics showing specific items assigned to each fraction work much better than descriptive text alone, especially for children or people for whom Polish is not their first language. Good boards combine both forms of communication while keeping the layout simple.

The board material should suit the installation location. Outdoor versions are usually made from dibond-type composite panel or UV-resistant plastic, which prevents colours from fading after several seasons of exposure to sunlight. Indoor boards, mounted for example in school corridors or staff canteens, can be made from lighter and cheaper materials such as rigid PVC foam board.

In educational campaigns run by municipalities, a board works best as part of a wider programme that also includes information leaflets and workshops in schools. The mere presence of a board next to recycling bins raises awareness, but lasting changes in habits usually require several communication channels repeated at the same time.

When ordering the content, it is important to ensure that the segregation rules shown on the board are up to date. Fraction systems are periodically updated at municipal level, so a good solution is to choose a board with a replaceable information panel that can be updated without replacing the entire mounting structure.

Recycling-themed boards complement a set of multi-compartment bins placed in the same spot. Together they create a point that not only enables correct waste sorting but also explains how to make that decision, which is particularly appreciated by educational institutions implementing environmental education programmes for young children.
